Blakelow Farm is blessed with a number of 'straight from your door' walking routes along with hundreds in the local area. Your cottage will contain a catalogue of our favourites.
Matlock & Bakewell
Nearby Villages like Winster, Bonsall and Hartington have cafes, pubs and shops all set in glorious countryside.
Then there’s nearby Youlgreave set between the rivers Lathkill and Bradford, or the plague village Eyam has a fascinating story to tell of the 1665 plague. The market town of Bakewell has regular farmers' markets and livestock sales, as well as its Monday market.
Eating Out
Derbyshire knows how to do good food! From Cafe's to Fine Dining and everything in between - we've got you covered. Most pubs and restaurants are dog friendly too!
Chatsworth House
The home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and 16 generations of the Cavendish family. The gardens, parkland, farm and playground, shops, cafes and restaurants make for a lovely day out. There are regular events including RHS Chatsworth and the Chatsworth Country Fair.

Heights of Abraham
Around 60 acres of a country park with show caverns Great Masson Cavern and the Great Rutland Cavern, set high above the Derwent Valley limestone gorge of Matlock Bath. Reached by a 169m cable car ride or zig-zagging footpath.
Around 5 miles away this attraction is terrific for visitors young and old.
